Non-native English speakers who <em>did not <\/em>use AI were flagged with an average <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S2666389923001307\">false positive rate of 61.3%<\/a>, compared to only a 5.1% false detection rate for native English speakers in a study on AI detectors across seven widely used sites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the most popular grammar websites, Grammarly, corroborates this sentiment in their article <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grammarly.com\/blog\/ai\/ai-detectors-accuracy\/#3\">Are AI Detectors Accurate? Understanding Their Limitations<\/a> as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When examining the indicators of human written content, detectors are often looking for lack of detail, overgeneralizations, and low sentence variability. This is called a lack of perplexity.
